Dear Residents, Families and Community Members:
It is my pleasure to welcome you to MissionCare at Bennington. Formerly known as Bennington Health and Rehabilitation Center, MissionCare at Bennington is now part of the iCare Health Network and is a specialized long term care center; the only one of its kind in Vermont.
The result of a partnership and contract with the State of Vermont, MissionCare at Bennington offers a model of care that supports people who need long- term, nursing home level of care in addition to mental health support for behavioral care needs and those with challenging social or justice-involved history. Residents are referred to the center for long term care from all around the State of Vermont. MissionCare’s clinical and behavioral programming is tailored to individuals with these diagnoses and needs.
The MissionCare at Bennington campus was designed for and will continue to progress in creating a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere that contributes to each resident’s ability to enjoy his or her continuing life experience. Continue reading…

A graduate of Western Governors University, Emily has eight years of nursing experience as an RN, primarily in long term care facilities due to her love for the geriatric population. She started her nursing career in Massachusetts until moving to Connecticut in 2020 where she found her nursing niche for infection control and wound care at her previous organization. -

Francis Lijadu and Mirja Tupas Join iCare, Leading Heart Failure Program and Complex Care

iCare Health Network is pleased to announce that Francis Lijadu and Mirja Tupas have joined the iCare clinical team. Francis re-joined iCare in December 2023 as a Regional Clinical Director overseeing Education, Infection Prevention and Transitional Care, including Touchpoints Rehab’s signature heart failure and pulmonary programs. My goal as President is to continue to grow the college and provide assistance and guidance for those that are just beginning their careers. Our partnership with the CAHCF and Leading Age will help to strengthen our Chapter and provide those resources to all Health Care Leaders. Our board has worked diligently on bringing new initiatives to the college and I am excited to see them come to fruition. -
